Walking

What it is

The Vallee d’Aulps in which the Dranse river flows from the mountains down to Lac Leman (Lake Geneva) is full of stunning walks of all standards and distances dominated by the impressive Roc D’Enfer, a stunning peak rising out of a beautiful green valley.

Whether you are an experienced hiker or someone who likes to amble rather than ramble, the area has something for you with fabulous mountains, lakes, forests, valleys and villages.

Benefits

All our walks are have been surveyed, defined, signposted (mostly), timed and graded according to difficulty, so we can gauge what you might be able to achieve and discuss your requirements with some knowledge.
Some can be started right from the chalet, and others require a short drive. You might like to do a circuit, starting and finishing at the same place, or make an adventure of it and aim for a defined destination.

Either way, the beneficial exercise will be hugely enhanced by the landscape through which you pass and the varied wildlife that you might see.

How it works

We will discuss how you feel and what challenges you are up for, take you to the start of the walk and collect you at the end at a pre-arranged time and we will prepare a suitable packed lunch for you to take with you.
Walking is of course optional, although we would aim for five full days of walks during the week (providing a guide if required with the largest group) and have a day of sightseeing or simply relaxing in between.

On your return to the chalet, you can enjoy a well earned shower, opt for a massage to dull the aches and pains or dip in the Jacuzzi before, canap├ęs and a nutritious evening meal.
