What it is
The Tour de France is a regular ‘stage finish’ visitor to Morzine and Avoriaz where cyclists take on the famous Grade 1 climb over the ‘Col de Joux Plagne’ and in 2010, through the Vallee Vert with 3 climbs and down through Sommand, Les Gets and Morzine before climbing to the finish at Avoriaz.
Many road cyclists ride this area because of its variety and test themselves on the Tour climbs and sprints. You can too.
You can tackle the Tour Routes and climbs, or you can undertake any number of mapped routes not related to ‘Le Tour’, taking you through the many picturesque villages and settlements, where you can stop for a break or target specifically for lunch. We will also be available for support in the event of incident, should you wish.
Road cycling is a major sport in France, so it is very well catered for, with all cyclists being very respected on and off the roads, so you will be welcomed at any stops that you choose.
How it works
We will work with you to discuss your rides for the week according to your abilities and aspirations. If your chosen circuit does not start or finish a the chalet, we will transport you to and from circuits that you want to tackle. On return to the chalet, you can securely store your valuable machine and take a well earned shower, have your muscles rejuvenated by our resident physiotherapist, take a massage or just relax the lot in the welcoming jacuzzi.
We will also look after non cyclists, friends, spouses and partners who can enjoy the many and varied locations, walks, sight seeing and activities that the area has to offer..
